Website relaunch for swissbau

Swissbau is the leading trade fair for construction and real estate in Switzerland. Every other year, Swissbau serves as a source of inspiration, exchange platform and innovation radar for the entire Swiss planning, construction and real estate industry. Swissbau consists of three components: the multi-industry fair, Swissbau Focus and the Swissbau Innovation Lab. The multi-industry fair welcomes exhibitors with their products, services and content, while Swissbau Focus centres around the event and networking platform and, finally, Swissbau Innovation Lab is a platform for digital transformation.

The challenge

Swissbau requested both a website relaunch as well as the implementation of an event calendar, a logo wall and an exhibitor and partner directory. As an experienced contact partner, the W4 team was happy to take on the conception and technical implementation of this project. For this purpose, the existing content management system Drupal was updated to the latest version. 

The focus of the project was particularly on the implementation of an event calendar, in which it is also possible to search for specific events, dates and topics via a filter menu. In addition, the individual detailed pages of the events can be accessed conveniently via the illustrated overview page. A camera icon shows which event has a live stream. This feature is accessible to registered users after logging in. In addition, after the events are over, the recordings are made available to all website visitors.
Furthermore, W4 has developed and set up an exhibitor and partner directory as well as a logo wall. The special feature of the exhibitor and partner directory is that the respective exhibitors can edit their presentations and contents independently via an intuitive front-end User Interface (UI). In this way, the exhibitor profile can be easily and conveniently expanded and filled with contact information, product range, contact persons and downloads. 

The new online presence does justice to Swissbau's range of products and services and presents the content in an ideal way. Of course, the contents of the website are created as a responsive web design and are thus displayed smoothly on all end devices.
